TIPS TO SAVE: How I Save Money At The Pump

Let’s be real here…we would ALL like to find ways to save money at the pump. Especially with higher gas prices at the moment, even a few cents per gallon can make a big difference! For me personally, I have a 50 minute round trip commute every morning, and minimum an hour during rush hour after work. I go through a lot of gas, and my routine is nothing compared to many others who have much longer commutes. Many people go through multiple tanks a week!

Then I found the getUpside App. It’s a cash back gas app that works very similarly to Ibotta (claim a coupon, scan in your receipt, and the money sits in your app account until you are ready to cash out). With my first fill up using the app (and it was barely over half a tank) I had nearly $3 in my app account. True, it’s only $3…but keep in mind that was from ONE partial fill up. With as often as many people get gas that number will quickly grow. And to top it off (pun intended), you get additional perks for referrals! I got an additional $0.15 back per gallon (yes, per gallon) for getting my husband to sign up, and every time he fills up after that I get $0.1 per gallon that he pumps. Yes, we are talking about pennies. But pennies add up ladies, especially with gas.

The getupside app even offers cash back opportunities beyond the pump! With hundreds of grocery stores and restaurants on the app as well, there are so many ways to benefit from using this app. So I invite you to give it a try! I’ve only been using it for a month, but I love this app, how user friendly it is, and I enjoy watching the savings roll in. I’ll keep you posted with how much I save using this app each month and hope you’ll share with the rest of our community how much you save as well! After all, a penny saved is a penny earned.
